The Score: Progressives 1; Republicans 0
Primaries have “picked” the Republican Presidential nominee. Can the Republican National Convention even the score by picking the Vice Presidential nominee? Here’s how Republicans can respond.
Republican or Progressive? Time to Choose!
Gaslighting Republicans began two years ago with a mission to educate the delegates to the 2024 Republican National Convention about Critical Primary Theory, a political movement invented by the Progressive party in the early 1900”s that created primaries with the stated purpose to “nominate candidates, in lieu of caucuses and conventions.”
Republican Convention Rules Committee Can Save the Party By Taking These Steps:
Reorder the current Rules of the Republican Party (see REPUBLICAN 2024 RULES CONFUSION EXPLAINED posted Feb 8, 2023)
Amend current Rule 40 to concede Trump primary win on the Presidential nomination and preserve the right of the Convention delegates to nominate the Vice Presidential candidate.
Dissolve, by rule, the nonprofit Republican National Committee created by Ronna McDaniel (see OPEN LETTER TO RONNA McDANIEL posted April 12, 2023)
Remove all reference to any state law directing any Republican organization activity. (Such laws are unconstitutional on their face)
Remove all reference to “binding” delegates that deprive Republicans of their First Amendment rights.
Create a rule that requires Republican candidates for public office at any level to first be NOMINATED by a CONVENTION in the jurisdiction involved.
Create a rule that prohibits anyone running for any public office to identify as “Republican” unless nominated by a proper convention.
Delete Rule 12
Create a Biennial Republican National Convention in 2026 to make necessary rules adjustments as may be required in advance of the 2028 Nominating Convention.
The Republican National Convention Rules Committee Can Save the Party!
My hyperbolic post “ONLY THE COURTS CAN SAVE THE REPUBLICAN PARTY”, Nov 24, 2023, discusses the only option available to Republicans if the delegates to the 2024 Republican National Convention fail to do so.
