Big Primary Lies, II
Big Lie “SUPERSPREADERS”: AP, The Hill and Cook Political promote primary over party…The Big Primary Lie…FACT: The 2024 Republican National Convention will choose the Republican nominee for2024.
AP News: Trump is honored by Republicans as the Man of the Decade in a Michigan county he lost twice
AP spreads the BIG LIE by reporting what some biased sources say about the “primary process” while ignoring facts about the Republican National Convention, easily obtained from other reliable sources; ie Rules of the Republican Party available at GOP.com.
FROM THE AP ARTICLE:
Among state GOP officials, however, support for Trump has not wavered. In February, Republican precinct delegates selected Karamo to lead the party after she lost by 14% in the midterms. One of the first moves by new party leadership was a vote to change the state’s traditional process of allocating all presidential delegates based on a primary open to the public.
Under a new plan widely expected to help Trump, Michigan will award just 16 of the state’s 55 delegates based on the results of the Feb. 27 primary. The distribution of the remaining 39 delegates will come four days later in closed-door caucus meetings, conducted by the same party members who selected Karamo to lead the party.
In an interview with The Associated Press, Karamo said she will remain impartial in the primary. She contends the party was forced to make the change after Michigan Democrats voted to move the state’s primary from the second week of March to Feb. 27, a violation of the Republican National Committee’s rules that could have resulted in a loss of delegates.
When asked whether Trump or his team had lobbied for the presidential primary change, Karamo refused to answer. She said she doesn’t “discuss conversations with the different campaigns.”
“We want to protect the voice of Michigan voters. So whether or not it may help one candidate over another, that’s totally irrelevant,” Karamo said.
According to Karamo, the Michigan GOP “worked on” the plan with the RNC and expects the national party to approve the new primary setup.
The RNC said its conversations with the state party “focused on rules and process rather than the substance and language of Karamo’s specific plan — the sort of guidance they offer each state party as they begin to formulate their individual paths forward for delegate selection.”
“We look forward to reviewing each state and territory’s plans,” RNC spokesperson Emma Vaughn said in a statement.
Karamo clearly proclaims that the VOTERS (PRIMARY) have rights superior to the members of the Michigan Republican Party while apparently collaborating with the RNC in doing so.
Loaded with lies, sourced and unsourced, this Hill piece fails to use the words “delegate” or “convention” while emphasizing “primary” and “voters”.
Republicans are anxious that the ever-growing 2024 primary field will only help former President Trump win the nomination next year.

Why the 2024 GOP Primary Isn’t Like 2016
June 22, 2023
For a while now, political prognosticators and armchair campaign analysts have mused that the GOP presidential primary is almost a carbon copy of the 2016 contest. A crowded field of candidates, few of whom are willing to confront Donald Trump directly, will once again ensure that Trump will roll-up primary wins and ultimately capture the nomination in 2024.
Article excepts:
Trump is a lot more popular among Republicans and Republican-leaning independent voters than he was
enjoys almost universal support among GOP voters,
Back in 2016, plenty of GOP voters were wary of nominating the former reality TV star. A CNN poll taken in August 2015 found that just 38% of GOP voters thought Republicans had a better chance of winning in 2016 with Trump
back in 2015, Trump’s vulnerabilities within the Republican primary electorate were the size of a semi-trailer.
Christie is a flawed vessel. The June CNN poll found that 61% of Republican voters said they would not support his candidacy
When asked how they’d prefer other Republican presidential candidates to address Trump’s indictment, just 12% of Republican voters in a June CNN poll agreed
That does not look like an electorate eager to support a “truth teller”
Another new poll, this one from Marist/NPR/PBSNewsHour, suggests that an “electability message” is far from compelling to potential primary voters.
However, I’m not convinced that traditional poll questions like asking voters to choose between “electability” and “values”
I may vote for somebody else
But GOP voters, who saw establishment candidates with “perfect” political resumes lose election
Since then, Republican voters haven’t become any more enamored with traditional political figures.
Of the voters that were interested in moving on from Trump
Bottom line: Republican voters’ attachment to Trump is not unbreakable.

Here are some verified facts that debunk the Big Primary Lies.
1. Highest authority of Republican Party is the Quadrennial National Convention.
2. The Republican Party is a private association organized as a deliberative assembly using Robert’s Rules of Order as its parliamentary authority.
3. Each Republican National Convention is organized in accordance with Robert’s Rules of Order.
4. Convention committees prepare for the convening of the national convention.
5. The Republican Party is governed solely by rules adopted at the Republican National Convention and Robert’s Rules of Order.
6. National party rules are superior to state party rules.
7. National and state party rules are superior to any federal or state law and the right of party members to conduct the affairs of the party are guaranteed by the First Amendment and protected from government interference by the Fourteenth Amendment.
8. National Party Rules adopted by the 2016 Republican National Convention are still in effect since there was no Republican National Convention in 2020 to update the rules.
9. Rules of the Republican Party are online at GOP.com. (Click on index upper left corner; then “About Us”; scroll down to “Our Rules & Resolutions”; click on “Learn More”; scroll down to “Rules of the Party” and click to discover THE FIRST “BIG PRIMARY LIE”!
10. Although there was no Republican National Convention in 2020, there were delegates elected in each state with the right, duty, responsibility and authority to govern the Republican Party.
The grifters in command of the Republican National Committee in 2020 simply dismissed the delegates and assumed authority to act as a convention.
11. The Preamble describes the three distinct sections of the Rules and the time frame of their application. They are: THE REPUBLICAN NATIONAL COMMITTEE; CONVENING OF THE NEXT NATIONAL CONVENTION; and PROCEEDINGS OF NATIONAL CONVENTION.
12. When adopted in 2016, the Preamble states that these are “the rules of business for this convention.”(2016)
13. Therefore the 2016 rules are the BEGINNING of the four year cycle. The Republican National Committee is created to govern the party UNTIL the next national convention (2020) and rules for convening of the next national convention (2020).
14. The currently published rules purport to have been adopted by a 2020 Republican National Convention; but the Preamble is identical to the 2016 Preamble.
15. Thus, the RNC, if it does actually exist, will cease to exist unless recreated by the 2024 Republican National Convention to govern the party from the close of the 2024 Convention UNTIL the next national convention. (2028)
16. There are no rules for PROCEEDINGS OF NATIONAL CONVENTION until created by the delegates voting to adopt the report of the 2024 Republican National Convention Rules Committee.
